Board members:
- Oversee the organisation and staff
- Observe a legally binding constitution
- Provide a strategic plan
- Manage funding
- Fulfil a variety of roles: finance, advocacy, marketing, fundraising, community engagement, public events, ideas, encouragement
- Attend online board meetings approx 8 weeks apart, one face-to face
- Elect roles within the board: chair people, finance, board members, staffing etc
- Vote on issues relating to the organisation
- Find satisfaction that individuals, families, communities, NZ, and the world is a better place because of the work we do
