Carolynne Riley
Education Manager
I'm Carolynne and I live in Hastings, Hawkes Bay. I have previously worked in areas of elder care and disability which included writing and facilitating programmes in life skills, health and community participation. These roles have give me the skills to work with people of all ages and with various abilities. I have been in the role of hearing educator for 13 years delivering a variety of presentations which are adjusted to suit all age groups. These are delivered predominantly in schools, early learning centres and for our educators. However, all communities have also benefited from the information given by attending sessions. My main goal is to create awareness of the causes and prevention of noise-induced hearing loss and the simple steps we can all take to stop this happening to us. Other hearing related topics are also included. This led me to training new educators, locally and in other areas. I am the Education Manager for Hear This Education and my passion is to train new educators in as many parts of the country as possible. This will give our Tamariki and others in our communities the knowledge of how to protect their hearing, enabling them to value their lives with sound. email: Educator@hearthiseducation.co.nz
